About us

Iganga District Union of Persons With Disabilities – IDUPD is an umbrella organization of persons with Disabilities in Iganga District. It was formed from village level, Parish level, Sub County, Constituency level with nine representatives of different disability categories respectively. It is located in Luuka District,  Busoga sub region in Eastern Region of Uganda. It was formed to improve the quality of life of Persons with Disabilities in Iganga District.

To create a world where persons with disabilities are fully included, empowered, and celebrated for their unique abilities, contributing to a society that values diversity and accessibility.

Mission

Our mission is to advocate for the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities, providing them with resources, support, and opportunities to thrive in all aspects of life. Through collaboration, education, and innovation, we strive to break down barriers and promote inclusivity in every community
